Akora ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

Akora is an AI-powered video analysis service accessible at akora.ltd. For privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@akora.ltd.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: Your email address and encrypted password when you create an account
• Usage data: Number of videos analysed, subscription status
• Video data: Videos you upload are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. We store a reference URI and AI-generated title. The video file itself is not stored on our servers permanently.
• Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

3. How we use your data

• To provide the Akora service and manage your account
• To process payments via Stripe
• To track your free trial usage and subscription status
• To save your video library so you can return to previous analyses

4. Third-party services

• Google Gemini API: Videos you upload are processed by Google's AI. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing.
• Supabase: We use Supabase to store account and usage data. Data is stored in EU-West (Ireland).
• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant.
• Vercel: Our hosting provider. Servers are located in the EU.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Video references are stored for as long as you keep them in your library. You can delete your videos at any time from the app.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As an EU resident you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to processing of your data
• Data portability

7. Cookies

Akora uses only essential cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
